Artesia Marie is a tattoo illustrator and the creative force behind Pigment 13 based in Casper, Wyoming. With nearly a decade of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, she has always had a deep appreciation for the artistry of transformation. Seeking a new medium to express that passion, Artesia returned to school and earned her Bachelors of Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Colorado. She completed her tattoo apprenticeship at the same time, graduating as both a trained illustrator and tattoo artist.

Over three years of focused academic study, she explored both contemporary and historical art philosophy while learning under professors from Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, and Marvel Comics to name a few.

Her tattoo work blends Neo-traditional and illustrative black work, often weaving together floral elements with haunting imagery reflecting both beauty and decay. Influenced by international tattoo artists, the raw landscapes of Wyoming, and the grit of motorcycle culture, Artesia’s designs balance strength and softness, chaos, and control.

Through Pigment 13, she continues to push creative boundaries, transforming skin into living art. Canvas that tells stories of resilience, rebellion, and raw beauty
